The german magazine Gamestar has released a new preview about Elex, which explains the game's morality system in greater detail: The so-called coldness value measures if the player acts rather emotional or rational. This system is not to be confused the bad/good system from other games however, because both rational and emotional decisions can be considered "good" or "bad".

According to Gamestar, at the core of the game is the question "What does it mean to be human?". Because as an Alb that feels emotions for the first time in his life, the player has to answer this question as Jax. These two opposites aren't the only possible options though, because the game also wants to show the facets in-between. And your decisions are going to influence the NPC's reactions to you as well as the ending of the game.

Yesterday THQ Nordic has confirmed the release date from the CGI trailer in a press release.. So Elex will be released in exactly 19 weeks and 4 days if everything goes according to plan.

In the meantime the german PC Games reports the reason for the game's delay. According to the article, the decision to delay the game was only made on Thursday after a meeting between THQ Nordic and Piranha Bytes. The reason is supposed to be that Piranha Bytes needs more time developing the console versions.

As exciting as the last month ended, June begins. Today not only new screenshots, new gameplay and the CGI trailer with the release date have been released, Elex is also available for preorder on Gog and Steam now.

On both pages Piranha Bytes new RPG will be available for download directly at release on October 17, on Gog without DRM of course. If you preorder now, you're also getting the game 10% cheaper, for 44,99€ in Europe.

German magazine PC Games visited Piranha Bytes in May was allowed to play Elex there. In addition to the preview in their magazine and 30 new screenshots there's also a preview video about Elex now. Although the video is in German, a lot of new gameplay can be seen.

THQ Nordic has released more screenshots from Elex. These images again show landscapes, new monsters and for the first time the inside of the Clerics base. As always, all screenshots can be found in our gallery or by clicking on "Read more"!

Recently the cover picture for Elex has been updated on german Amazon. Instead of the note "rating pending" it now shows the USK 12 logo, even if the product description still insists the game is USK 16. Other online shops have updated to the new cover as well.

The PEGI 16 rating, which is relevant for other european countries, also isn't provisional anymore, but certain now. A glance at Amazon.com also reveals that the ESRB has rated Elex M in the US (Mature / 17+). With that, the age ratings of Elex are the same as with the Risen series.
