From the german console test by Gamepro, ten new screenshots from the PS4 version of Elex have emerged. Graphical difference to PS4 are relatively small at first glance. You can find all screenshots by clicking on "Read more"!

Four days before release, several German Let's Players released their first episodes of their ELEX Let's Plays (in German, Duh). However one of them kindly started a second LP series with English commentary on his English channel. Below is the first episode, for all those ELEX hungry English speakers, who for some reason can't wait another 4 more days.
EDIT: Just found out that there also are many native English Let's Players who got the chance to start their LP 4 days before release.

Yesterday Piranha Bytes released a new video on Youtube which shows how Elex has changed since last year. It's clearly visible how unfinished environments changed into beautiful landscapes. Some of the images were already included in the Making Of from the Making Games magazine.

THQ Nordic has released a new gameplay trailer about the game, this time about the Albs faction.

Convinced that all weakness must be rid from the face of the world, the The Albs of Xarcor are ruthless in pursuit of their vengeful goal. By consuming pure Elex, the Albs are able to think with clarity, growing stronger, more focused the more they consume. The price paid for their cold, menacing ambition is a high; stripped of emotions, the Albs become machine-like unyielding beings. From their mountain fortress in the icy heights of Xarcor, the Albs are striving to gain full control of all of Magalan and wipe out any resistance.

There are three more German Gamescom-Previews on Elex from PC Games Hardware, Playmoments.de and Xbox Passion.

Alexandros Bikoulis mentions in his review for PC Games Hardware among other things the absence of loading screens in the game's world and that players will be able to kill 90% of the NPCs in Elex, if they want to.

The author of the preview by Playmoments.de, Jennifer, comes to a positive conclusion and states, that the game seems to be quite convincing. As advantages, she names missing loading screens, the interesting skill system and the huge, open world. In her opinion, negative aspects are minor bugs in the preview-version, the controls and - to some degree - graphics, too.

Last but not least, there is Michael Pitz' preview for Xbox Passion. In his article, he mentions inter alia the respawn of opponents (only minor creatures and animals will respawn after 10 hours of playing) and the game's learning curve (will be similar to the one from Gothic). Minor negative points like the game's graphics can't prevent him to come to a positive conclusion, as they are outweighed by the heart and soul that was put into Elex.

The official Elex-Site on Facebook has anounced, that Piranha Bytes' upcoming RPG has won the "BÄM Award" in the category of "Most Wanted PC Game".

Presenter of the "BÄM Award" is German magazine publisher Computec Media Group. Winners in the categories are chosen by the votes of their magazine's readers.

German Online-Magazine gamersglobal.de has published a preview of Elex about their impressions of the game at Gamescom 2017.

Editor Benjamin Braun comes to a positive conclusion and states that maybe the game was made with even as much enthusiasm, heart and soul as the first Gothic.

We would like to share with you two gameplay-videos of Elex made at Gamescom 2017 in Cologne. While the first video was made by ourselves at the stand of THQ Nordic and shows some random gameplay, the second one is from a private presentation by Piranha Bytes and was not filmed by us.

We have made some photos of THQ Nordic's stand at Gamescom 2017, too. On this stand, fans had had the opportunity to play Elex and other games from publisher THQ Nordic by themselves.
