Again a new screenshot and new information about Elex have been released by Piranha Bytes on Facebook. This time the post is about the placement of the monsters.

None of the creatures you'll face in ELEX is spawned randomly. Each monster is carefully placed by hand.

In the comments beneath the post Piranha Bytes also explaines that some monsters will respawn, supposedly at certain points in the story, and that these respawns are placed by hand as well.

On ELex' official Facebook page a short video and new information about the converters have been released. The video is available on our Youtube channel as well.

As the Alb’s largest instrument of power, the converters gain valuable Elex from all the resources and creatures that are being processed inside these. Due to the resistance of the Berserkers, the converter in Edan has been shut down. Thus, for the time being, they could keep the advance of the Albs at bay.

Today Piranha Bytes released a new screenshot and information about the region Tavar on Facebook. The desert region is home to the Outlaws.

A rocky, desert wasteland, Tavar is home to the Outlaws. Scavenging the ruins for weapons and equipment, the Outlaws will worship no god, they will not pledge themselves to the strict laws of the Berserkers, or surrender to a life of emotionless conflict. With the meteor came a chance for freedom, choice, a world where anyone can rise to the top. The Outlaws live by the motto, that life may be brutal, but it’s free and easy, and that all shall be rewarded for their strengths.

On Youtube a new or longer mood trailer for Elex is available, which shows mostly new scenes. The trailer seems to be from an older version of the game though, or maybe it's a bit older itself and has been released only now. Tell us what you think!

Today a new screenshot of a monster from Elex, the Slugbeast, has been released by Piranha Bytes. The developer seems to finally increase the marketing for Elex now.

In the PC Gamer livestream the hero's name seemed to be announced: Jack was the name that could seemingly be heard. But now in our forum Jenny of Piranha Bytes corrected us and revealed that the hero's true name is Jax. This is "a typical first name for an Alb".

In a press release from THQ Nordic about the PAX East in Boston, a new release date for Elex was mentioned. According to THQ Nordic, Piranha Bytes new RPG will be released not until Q3 2017, which means July, August or September. Only last November the release date was announced to be early summer of 2017, likely June, and just recently mid of the year was mentioned again. This means Elex has been delayed a couple of months at most. A release at Gamescom in August seems realistic, which would be exactly 3 years after Risen 3. We hope to learn a concrete release date soon.

Today Piranha Bytes released new information and a screenshot about a region from Elex on Facebook: Ignadon, home of the Clerics.

Once this area was a flourishing land. Great cities, fertile lands. But all this was drowned in the flames of the meteors impact. The jagged land indicates to heavy tectonic activities beneath. This is where the clerics are needed the most.
